To Each His Own

There's a lot to be said about this comic. Ever since Ike first featured in my earlier work I wanted there to be a more significant reason to him existing, and here we are.

Likewise I very much adore Ladonia, yet for some reason he gets left out a lot (despite it kiiinda' being canon that he's- you know, a part of Sweden's life). I always feel a bit sorry for the poor sod, and the event he and Sweden are referring to is in the following Hetalia strip: www.hetarchive.net/scanlations…

It's not really certain how Ladonia exists physically, since he can also live in his laptop, but I'm working under the assumption he's dependent on it until his land is more secure, so to speak. (I also have this adorable little theory that Sweden goes about trying to make lots of internet hotspots and strong connection just so Ladonia can go with him to more places, but that's just me.)

Also enjoy the Pokémon references here, I've snuck a couple of favourites starters in along with my absolute faaavourite Pokémon, so have fun finding it. (Stunfisk is there by the way, it's just really poorly drawn.) Similarly there's a few things in Sweden's house which are from the current IKEA range, because it would be a sin not to include them in his home. XD
